It's usually some small piece of equipment, an electronic gadget or old tool that goes straight to the scrap pile when it lets me down for the last time. At that point I've prob gotten more life out of it than it had to give, so I have no regrets. With something a bit more pricey like your AC tractor, I might consider advertising it for an attractive price, sell it in good working condition without hiding anything from the buyer, and move on. My main issue is the time and frustration involved in keeping a reluctant machine going. They usually don't break down just as you've finished mowing the lawn LOL

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
