2 yrs ago, almost to this day, I got my leg too close to a corn chopper that gnawed on it till I got loose. surgeries, keep your leg elevated, etc etc. I will tell you, if you get a pain in the side that won't let you sleep, get checked out for pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung). after I had to sleep in the recliner for 2 nights, wife called our GP dr, he said get to ER NOW. sure enough, blood clot in left lung. could have been real bad.
