Well... I guess I opened a real can of worms with the comment about the unfortunate owner of this tractor speaking with the police. The comment WAS NOT in any way intended to cast either the police or the owner in a bad light. The police, if the report was correct, were just doing there job. The owner, if he was talking to them was doing what a good citizen is expected to do. The combination of the circumstances and timing COULD be a contributing factor in the accident, but all the facts are not in yet. The only point I was trying to make is; DISTRACTION IS NOT GOOD!! This goes for driving, walking, cooking fried chicken, or any other activity. But, it can be especially bad if you are operating what is, potentially a multi ton pipe bomb. Chill out everyone! Mac
