If 'winter' gets to zero pretty often, the gas will be a better deal. If you planned on using the tractor for heavy tillage, lots of lugging, then you'd want to look for a diesel. For a loader to use in winter times, the gas should be fine. There are pros & cons either way, so you probably can't go too wrong in this for your uses. :) --->Paul
