1973 I spent working a wheat harvest from OK to ND combining in OK, KS, NE, SD, ND and MN. Now keep in mind this was 1973. About 90% of the farm equipment I was was JD, followed by IH. Saw one guy farming several thousand acres of grain crops with Case. Did not see any farming with AC. In fact I can't recall seeing and AC, Oliver or MM dealers in any of the areas we worked. Only saw one or 2 MF dealers. While I like my Farmalls (1963 and newer only) even I have to admit by 1973 JD was clearly the leader.
