I remember back when those first came out. The local AC dealer had an open house every year and one year they had one of those sitting in the showroom. Everybody just said that they were too big of a tractor for anybody around here,that they were made for the "big farms out west". There were a few potato farms around here that were big enough to have a need for a tractor for tillage only,but not many places at that time had any use for one. Multi use row crops and utility tractors were all that you'd see. By the early 70s,the big rigid frame Case and some other articulated four wheel drives were showing up.
Last one of those D21s I remember seeing here sat at a small cattle operation with a round bale spear on it. Times sure change.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
