We have recently moved to an old apple orchard on top of a mountain. The orchard used to be maintained by an old orchard guy for the apples. He is now too old and we want to keep the weeds down around the trees. Problem is approximatly 8+ acres of the 12+ acres of orchard are very steep (10% or more). I am very partial to the looks of the old Ford 8N and 9N and also the old Case tractors. My friend says we need something that is more stable and with 4 wheel drive. Any experience with the Fords or Cases in similar conditions?? Any other recommendations. Thanks.

This article will focus on what I encountered and what I did to bring the 1951 NEAR DEATH Farmall H back to life.
