I've used both straps and chains and I have never seen a safe web strap. What is scarey now is that the cops let these 2 week rodeo cowboy school truckdrivers use nylon straps on coil steel around here. Another scarey sight is to be going down the highway and see a pair of cell phone yapping yuppies in a 1500 Chibbie with a 16' bumper pull behind and a restored 8N Dorf sitting up there with a lumber strap loose across the middle of the Dorf going somewhere around 65-70 mph.
