Thats right loads need to be strapped on or chained on properly but even a brand new chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and straps will rub through just from the movement caused by the air going around at 55 mph no matter how tight it is, big trucks have a better accident ratio than car's, everyday you can go to a lumber yard and watch some idiot leave overloaded with lumber only tied on with cheap clothes line rope or with nothing at all, they are a bigger danger than any other vehical out there, so PLEASE don't go bashing truck drivers until you been in their shoes for a while.
