Well, I agree with Alvin, nothing in your post below to be awkward. As for old binder parts, unless you are in a heck of a hurry to get it working, I'd hang out on the Implement Talk board (link below, or follow the pull-down menu at top of page) and get an idea of who might seem like they got leads on binder parts or who might be restoring one and contact them. Another idea is to go to threshing shows and talk to the fellows running the binder there. There's probably salvage yards in the Plains states that still have that kind of stuff, and I know that there's a website with a list of salvage yards, but I don't have the address. Probably be able to find it by doing a search (like on www.google.com) for "tractor salvage yard". Good luck in your search and make sure you stop by here regularly.
