How many yesterdayers are following the 4014 to Ogden on you tube?
Glad to see the 4014 project done and operational. Never thought we would ever see a big boy operational again. It's truely a dream come true. And a timeless peice of history.
I just wish they would do more on their excursions. I don't see why they have to triple head in route (counting the modern deisel unit) and only pull 9 cars. I do understand that the passenger cars need the deisel unit for electricity use in the passenger cars. But is what I don't understand, is why only 9 cars pulled behind all that power. And why the 844 and 4014 are double heading in the same train. They use to do this with the 844 and 3985 also, if they were going to the same place. Wouldn't it make more sense to make up two trains and run one about 10 miles behind the other one? Give the rail fans a bigger thrill. After all, half the thrill is hearing the whistle. And that's rarely blown on the second engine when double heading. And one of those bright yellow extra water cars sure looks tacky in front of the second black locomotive when double heading in my opinion. Just my two cents. What do you think??

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
