In the situation you have presented, I believe it all depends on the buyer's opinion. In this case, there doesn't seem to be any particular need or task for the truck to perform, therefor I would recommend (drumroll please)... Any of the big three: Ford/Chevy/Dodge.
They will all accomplish the stated goals with ease (urban driving, towing, resale, warranty, fuel economy, comfort, etc), but here is my personal breakdown: I would say the PSD or the Dmax will come out on top in the urban driving category. I think the dodge is the way to go for towing (even stock, I prefer the towing characteristics of an inline-6), and the cummins has shown to typically get better mileage (towing and unloaded). They will all retain their value well, thus an easy resale (this all depends on the level of care for the vehicle of course), so I call that a draw. And of course the comfort and looks category is entirely subjective. What looks/feels good to me may not be the same for you... It's all in the eye of the beholder. (I personally think the ford is slightly more comfortable and ergonomic than is the dodge) Remember, each truck has it's categories to excell in, and each will far outlast it's gas counterpart if cared for properly. You take care of it, and it will take care of you.
I know that I gave no definitive answer here, but when you are not limited to a single function, the decision should be made by the buyer's feelings toward each truck.
