I turned a corner way out in the country and Bang the driveshaft fell out, retrieved the shaft, and coasted down a long hill into a fellas yard. His wife said he wasn't around but help myself to anything that would help in his shop. He had a fantastic shop, after going through at least 20 bench drawers, found some old steel water pipe. I didn't have the u-joint bearing caps, only the cross piece, fitting two sawn off pieces of pipe over these and clamped them down with the ubolts. It was 5 above zero, looked like it would hold a little while, and drove it fifteen miles on home. John in Nebr.
