It was a crazy freebie repair but of a different type........and I still suffer due to it from time to time 12 years later.
After the furnace quit working and the well went dry the cottage we were honeymooning at, we left in hopes of a better location. Ottawa is a clean safe city, lots of sites to see, fine restaurants, shows etc. I knew the town from living there on a college work term. We dropped in to visit my former landlady. We found out some workmen had dangerously messed up the wiring adding a sump pump, furnace etc.And then she needed/wanted a couple of new plugs in the kitchen. I had my tool pouch in the vehicle, she was a nice old lady who had been reasonable on rent for a nearly broke student, she wasn't wealthy and I thought" it can't take very long". Two days later the jobs were finished & only one day remained of the honeymoon vacation. Happily married but that week is remembered & unforgiven when ever weddings etc are mentioned.
