The weather this week has been generally dry here is SE PA. Monday and Tuesday were perfect and we got 4 acres baled up in the evening after work. The forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday was great so I mowed down our last 9 acres. Figuring we had 2 days to get it all baled. And unloaded. Wrong. Friday was cloudy, yesterday slightly overcast and rain coming north from VA. So we kicked it into high gear. But a schedule conflict caused our work force down to 2 of us. Unfortunately unloading wagons take a minimum of 2 people. So, we ran 2 rakes and 2 balers and unloaded as fast as possible. It was a 15 hour, 1300 bale day. The baler with the new bill hooks missed zero. My second baler hasn’t been used in 2 years and it took about 10 bales for me to get the knotter tying. Then it was off to the races.
