In SJ there are people with LP heat but most heating in my area is oil or natural gas. I have no idea about bulk prices but just for fun here are refill prices. At your local gas station you can get your 20lb. cylinder filled and the high was $18.oo. Three days ago I had a cylinder filled to 20lb. and it was only $12.oo. That is a Very good price in this area. So that works out to $1.60 a pound IF you really get 20 lbs give or take. Now that needs to be converted to gallons. Not really a fair comparison but it gives you some idea.
