John, the reps are not hiding but simply are not on the payroll therefore they don't exist. As to a new face every time you walked in there are many reasons for that but not all have to do with the poor quality of these employees. As far as 25 dollar per hour jobs going unfilled there are many reasons for that but not all of them have to do with drugged out losers. I've worked for bosses and owners who were psychopaths and it would take a lot for me to put up with that on a semi-permanent basis. Also, as long as an able bodied person is pulling down a legitimate paycheck you can't hate him for moving on from a job that may pay well but may require a person to lay in the mud or snow to do it.
