nothing new at all, CAT had self driving 200 ton haul trucks running at a test sight in AZ as early as 1993, in 1996 a local mine decided to try two of them, the next day before they were to be taken apart and shipped here they hit head on,, needless to say the mine never bought them then or any since the tech is not 100% sound, that said there are way to many on the roads today who have no business driving at all, but to me self driving cars are still light years from being the norm
