After reading all the other replys, the only one that made sense was, "GET A BIGGER MACHINE". I had 10 or so acres of woods cleared a couple of years ago. Lots of big stumps and the area had grown back up with Lodgepole, most about 6 to 8 inches in diameter. I logged what was marketable, then I hired a Logging outfit and he brought in his excavator. He quoted $1200. He worked a day and a half and charged me $900, because it didn't take as long as he thought it would. He plucked the lodgepole pine out like carrots and stacked everything for burning.
