This week, Thursday, the local Cat dealer (T & E, Tractor and Equipment) is having an open house celebrating 90 years of Caterpillar. They asked any of our members to bring any old Cats they might have. Not sure what might show up!! The club has a Holt engine out of an early crawler that was converted to sawmill power. Couple guys overhauled it, mounted it on a cart (BIG cart!) for show and tell. It runs very well. When the Cat dealer heard about it, they said they will gladly transport it to their show and back to our grounds. Not sure if there are any pic's of it on our web site: antiquetractorclub.com Anyway I plan on going to the show. Any local YT-er's going let me know!! Jon

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
