Working on a b7500 that chewed up the front ring and pinion. The backlash is set with different thickness spacers on each side of the pinion bearings. My question is this: What are the odds that the original spacers will get the new gears set right? There are 10 different options listed. They are most all about $10 each. I really hate to order all of them in order to have what I need, but I'm not really sure how you would figure it out other than trial and error (which would entail having the new gears in hand already).
