Don’t know, but I had a 3 pt auger once. Blasted thing would only go down about 6 inches. Stopped as soon as it hit the rock. Problem was there was only one big rock on the farm. It was under the whole farm and most places less than 2 feet deep.
Solved the problem by buying a wrecked F700 Telelect digger derrick. Was gonna make a trailer out of it and pull it behind a tractor, but got the thing running and driveable enough for farm use. Then I could dig holes. Bedrock, concrete, etc it didn’t care. That carbide auger was something else.
