Our area (western NY) is undergoing the shut down of Quality farm and fleet, aka Country General, aka Central Tractor. Bankruptcy proceedings are going on, inventory is being liquidated, etc. Rumor has it that Tractor Supply Company is the new owner of the Stores and property. The inventory is being liquidated by a separate entity. Was wondering, is TSC a reputable supplier? Ever since the CT days, every time there was a change of hands the inventory in the store seemed to be cut back on quantity, and under the "quality" management, when inventory was depleted, it was never reordered. And this wasn't just menial stuff either. Our nearest branch had one bottle of cattle wormer (injectable) on the shelf, and after it was sold was never restocked. (?) Just one example of the type of stuff that was repeatedly sold out and never reordered. Difficult in our area to find other sources for this type of merchandise, as Buffalo and Rochester are 90 minutes away. Just wondering if you people are satisfied with TSC's service, and wether we should look forward to them possibly reopening these stores, or if we should just get used to the status quo. Thoughts and experiences please. Thanks.
