You are right, but some of these fellers live by a man that told them a war story at summer camp last year and they are passing it along. It is'nt the motor that fries at first. It's the points sticking. That in turn causes the voltage to be constant on the motor. I've tried it both ways myself and if you are going to use the truck much it will fry the 2 speed before too long. I still don't know why the other feller uses his heater on high in the summer. He must be from way up yonder. He may be causing the global warming problems by melting the ice cap with his heater on high and a hot 2 speed axle.
