I have been using lower radiator hose heaters for years. They work fine on old gas cars and trucks that were made before fuel injection. I think they are the easiest to install, if your engine uses a formed rubber lower hose that is long enough to fit the heater in near the engine. The only problem I have run into is that you need to know the inside diameter of the hose before you can buy the right heater. Then just cut the hose, cut out the right amount to fit the heater, install the heater where you made the cuts, tighten the clamps, route the power cord safely, refill and heat it up. They have easily started my old cars, pickups and diesel tractor down through the 20 Below area by just plugging them in for an hour or less. Easy and cheap, my kind of fix!
