Last few years I've picked up like new tire chains at consignment auctions a local tractor company has in my area at the end of April. For 3 Years in a row I've purchased 15 x 38 & 13 x 38 tire chains that both still have the cadium finish on the cross chains & have been used maybe once? I didn't pay over 45.00 dollars for either set. Last spring 12 x 28 that I shortened the length only to fit 10 x 24 tire which have Ice cutting cross chains for 11.50. I think since many have 4wd they feel they don't need a tire chain any more? Where I live you need chains with or without 4wd.
