There are a lot of differences between US and Canadian farming - unless they are brought forth we never see what is different . I understand that in the US there are a lot of subsidies-- other than that I really dont know . I know here that farmers collect on crop insurance -- how should I say "habitually" where as in the states it is the exception. As to locally here farmers are very well respected --- as it is a farming community and without there input -- well there wouldn't be much of any thing.
