I have just about finished up putting a B427 Continental engine in to a Massey Harris 101 Senior....This 427 has the distributor on the side of the engine instead of on top of the engine like most Continentals do...If I read it right its a IGC 6005 2A 11N Autolite distributor which after doing some searching seems to be hard to find parts for..Notice the different cap so it will clear the exhaust manifold...Anyone know of a parts source?
Maybe I should try and find a top mount distributor to put on this tractor? I wonder if a M330 or M363 Continental distributor would work?I have some 226 Continental distributors but the drive shaft would be at least 4 inches to short as the B427 is a tall engine.
These engines were used in Brockway trucks,Fox SP silage chopper, for power units-etc..
