300 I don't want to hijack your post, Just share my experience. Up until 3 years ago this spring my father was my go too hay raker. He, Just like your father, did not pay attention to what was going on and very seldom turned to look back. Made me furious that I would have to drive clear across the field to tell him that he didn't have the hay rake lowered to the ground. He would run the wheels of the rake plum into the fence, bending teeth, and rings of the wheels.(wheel rake). The old rake was wore out, but I would not buy a new one, because I knew he would tear it up as well. So I just kept fixing it back, what ever it needed. Three years ago this May was the last time my father would ever rake hay for me to bale. The Alzheimer's has left him unable to do many of the things he taught me and did his self over his 81 years. April 25th is his birthday. My advise is fix everything he tears up and take it with a grain of salt. There will be a day when your father will no longer be there to help. Let him do it as long as he wants to and relish every minute with him. I still have a shelf of replacement parts for that old rake, that I traded for a new one, two years ago. Nathan

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
