We currently have a Deutz-Fahr 2 "star" single row tedder. The center hub area that the arms attach to have been broken and welded several times by a regular welding shop. I believe they are possibly cast aluminum. Dad does the tedding, and usually sets the teeth too low and when be hits an uneven the teeth catch and break the hub. Arguing with him about that is a story of it's own. New hubs can be bought, but he thinks it's time for a new used tedder. So I'm asking to you folks who makes a good smaller tedder ? Kuhn, Vicon ? Looking for opinions. He also said maybe he would be interested in a hay inverter. Not sure what they're really called. I'm afraid no matter what we buy brand wise it'll meet the same fate as the one we have. Dad will be 78 in a couple weeks and sometines he just won't listen to common sense ! So anyway if anyone has any recommendations I sure would appreciate them ! Hopefully he'll let my brother and I take over the tedding duties when we get something else.
