Isn't the Kuhn GF5001T one of those fold back models rather than a fold up, if it is I wouldn't drag one home if it was free, a friend had a Claas model like that, pain in the ars moving from field to field.
GF502THA is a smaller 16'5" model and doesn't have border control, GF502 does but is 3 pt hitch and also 16'5", my old tedder is 17" and will barely cover two 9' mower swaths. No 3 pt for me, I prefer trailed, easier to hook and unhook from, that's why I have a Kuhn GMD2850TL trailed disc mower, the old GMD700 3 pt hasn't been out of the barn in 5 years, may put it on a caddy for a backup mower but will be desperate times when I mount it back on a tractor to mow with.
The Krone has a simple one lever system on the back to angle the wheels left, straight or right, first round you angle the wheels to toss hay away from fence or border, then set them straight for the rest of the field, takes longer to walk around to the back if the tedder than to make the adjustment.
Right now there's a issue with the price of a new Krone and available funding, plus my old tedder is still working, hopefully the funding issue will improve before the old tedder suddenly retires.

While this may have been the bread and butter of the belt work in the past (since this is what made the money on many farms), the smaller tasks may have been and still can be its real claim to fame.
