Right or wrong, time will tell--Unheard of in NE Iowa to be done with corn in April! The old saying--"Plant Early-Plant Often"--When I was a kid my Dad wouldn't start until the 2nd week in May--Hybrids have changed. Last year we ran that Vertical tillage machine I built over most of the previous years corn stalks except for one field--The trash would barely go through the old Deere 1100 field cultivator but when we got in that no-till it turned into a 42 ft. dump rake! So we got the old Deere 20 ft. BW disc out and disced it--Son thought it looked good so I was stuck in the disc for the duration .He said "NO MORE NO-TILL"--Big yield lag.---Tee View from the Deere 4630--Discing Wife ran the 8760 and the FC. Light soil--rented farm I got to run it on about 60 acres--it is the Wife's Deere

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
