I am getting close to ordering some new wiring for my Farmall Super C, but I was wondering what the proper way to use different color wire is.
It sounds like a simple question, but what I mean is, there are probably 7 or 8 different wires on the tractor, and I do not think I could find 7 or 8 different color wires. Should I just try to use different colors for the longer wires, and the wires going to and from the dashboard area so I do not get confused when following the wire?
Also, I am not going to try to get original type wire, I will just buy modern automotive wire. Maybe in the future I would consider doing a complete restoration with original, authentic 1950s style wire, but for now, I will not do that.
As for wire gauge, I believe people have mentioned 10, 12, and/or 14 gauge wire. Any other advice for wire gauge?
One more question, and I hope its not too many questions, but what about the battery to starter and battery to ground wires? Those look much thicker, what are the specifications on those?
