They are a dry disc clutch mechanically operated. The TA is hydraulically operated. There is a grease fitting up inside the cover for the throw out bearing. We put bulkhead fittings on the cover with a fitting below so we don't have to take the cover off all the time. As for your taking off with a jerk. I am going to say you need a gauge and fittings, to check the pressures on the MCV which is right ahead of the left step there. I suspect your pressure and adjustments are off. TV will be the guy to talk to, or look for one of his many posts on how to adjust it. IF the lever is stuck look under the tin right under the handle bolts on the left side they will freeze up there. They have a bolt holding them on. Our 856 is froze and we have never bothered to mess with it. The linkage was disconnected when we got it. I use it for a handle to get on it. I'd change the filter first . It is on the right behind a tear drop shaped lid about below the brake pedals. I use a 5 gallon pail and leave it there while changing. It will have a gallon of so run out while changing it. The screen in front of the filter needs to be looked at for dirt or plugging there is a tin piece in behind the filter be sure it is in there and the o-ring on the tube going through the casting is in place or it will suck air at the pump. That tube connects the filter and the pump. They are across from each other. It is all pretty self explanatory upon seeing it. There is a seal o-ring around that tin piece behind the filter also.

Then, as the big lugged circle of rubber slipped off the last wheel stud it became apparent that there was more there than just an empty tire. Four hundred pounds of rim, tire, and fluid dropped to the ground like a sack of wet cement. Fortunately the installer jumped out of the wa
