Top two are of our new cub. Made a trip Fri to see Tracy Brown. Got a starter and radiator for our new Ford 851. And a bunch of other cool stuff. Planned to buy a farmall H too but decided we didn't need another big project. Asked if he knew of any cubs for sale. He got us in touch with a guy an hour south. Picked up this '49 cub. Starter spun a couple times then ground to a halt with lots of sparks. Got it home , wife took starter apart and cleaned it up. Took some emory cloth and cleaned the brushes. Cub fired right up. Lift works. Pto works. Tires decent. While my wife worked on that one I kept working on my dad's cub. It's starting to look better. Can't see spending $200-$300 on stainless steel letters for the sides of the hood. Wish someone made plastic ones. This ain't a restore show tractor. Just making it pretty for my folks to use.
