I picked up a farmall 300 last summer and it ran great up until a month ago and started missing. It will run on #2 and #3 but when I pull plug wires on 1 and 4 there’s no change. I have spark to 1 and 4 if I hold the plug about 1/8” from the block but no spark when grounded directly. I put new plugs, cap, wires on it. Checked compression and put good gas in it. It has a 12v battery positive ground but still has a generator and 6v coil (I’m assuming since it ohms at 1.4). There is a 12v sylnoid on the starter. Looks like a newer voltage regulator but Im not sure If it’s 6v or 12v. Is there a way to tell if it has been converted or if the guy I bought it from just threw a 12v battery in it? Kind of chasing my tail here since the manuals I have may not have the conversion info in it.
