I hauled home a bunch of tractor parts from Nebraska to WI and getting off I90 I lost the power assist to the brakes, Then I realized I did not have power assist to the steering. I had replaced the pump five or so years ago with a reman. My question is I had been having trouble where if you stepped on the brakes hard the assist to the steering would be temporarily lost. I am replacing the pump and will flush the lines. The hydra Boost unit is damp but I believe that that is from spillage of brake fluid checking it because the cover is hard to get off and sticks. I have sprayed it off but never really had time to clean it. Do you guys think the hydra Boost needs to be replaced as long as I have the other half tore apart? It had been getting farther apart when it pressures up but that might be a poor pump. I asked a pro and he was stumped. How often do the hydra boost fail?
