Tracy Brown texted me last week, said he had picked up a nice Ford 841. Yesterday I picked up my dad and we headed up there. Little over 300 miles round trip if we go from my house to Tracy's, add 150 round trip if I go get my dad....... But he sure enjoyed the trip. First tractor I've bought in a long time that drove on to the trailer! Hot day in Alabama and Mississippi, work truck AC doesn't work half the time, and my dad got chilly with his window down,so he kept it rolled up, I nearly burnt up!! I drank at least 12 bottles of water and a couple sodas. My dad drank one 20 oz Root beer on the way up and a sprite at lunch. We were gone from his house 9+ hours. On the way home I had to stop 3 times to let him out and walk off terrible leg cramps. Tried to get him to drink some water but he said he was fine. I'm betting he was nearly dehydrated. Saw a couple cubs for sale on the way back. No number on the sign.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
