My very limited experience with city shopping is they have no idea what farm equipment is or what I am trying to find, they stock $400 black wheel rims but not an inch bearing. I must not hit the right places?
In my small rural town i took my Wisconsin 1950s fuel pump in a bucket to the auto parts and belts and hydraulics place, I wondered if he would even bother To look into it or just say he didnt have a clue.
I got the bucket to the counter and the guy says, oh, Im sorry!
My heart sank, I had oats to finish swathing....
He says, I just sold the stock pump 2 hours ago, it will be tomorrow around 10 when a new one comes in.
He never even pulled it out of the bucket, he knew what it was.
Small rural towns is where I find parts and more so help.
