Quote: CVPost-300jk (quoted from post at 13:42:01 10/31/21) If it is 12v system I would buy a coil for a
12v system that states right on it no external resistor
required. The one I used was from Napa and has the
number 905 on the coil, and IC14 as a part number on the
box. Do not use any other resistor with this coil. It is not
needed. Im guessing the wires may be causing the failure.
300,
ic14sb is a round can coil. Great to use on 12v conversions that have round can coils. Rontron has a front mount distributor and coil. The design of these coils is fragile. Even with a 12v version of this type of coil, the oem ballast resistor on the N series Fords is still required. But, as Mike stated above, the pertronix 12v module should be fed with full 12v (separate wire)

I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
