I have a 722 Bobcat with a 1.6 litre Ford gasoline engine in it, circa 1980, I think.
It runs OK, but when I push it too hard it starts to sputter and if I don't throttle down quickly it will stall.
I have fooled around with spark timing, carb settings and governor settings with not a lot of success.
I have learned to only run 91 octane gas in it, the cheap stuff causes spark plug fowling. My fuel supplier says the difference is that the high octane gas has no ethanol(?).
Any ideas on how to reduce or eliminate the stalling?
