1937 WC Allis Chalmers For $75. The reason it was sold was the owner crank started it and it was still in 1st gear (they have wobbly long shifter levers). When it started he was able to get the crank handle off the snout, but the tractor was 3 feet away from a big Oliver. The WC smashed into the mans leg pinning it leg against the flat surface of the Belt pully on the Oliver. The Crank snout rammed into his hamstrings and spun as it was shoved into the engine crankshaft. The tractor was backed off of him by his wife. I purchased the tractor 2 months after the incident. Both tractors were where they were. He had a severe limp, and was very happy to see it disappear from sight 50 feet from his main house door. I sold it to my brother and he sold it to a collector. It still survives in northern Indiana and appears in Tractor shows from time to time. Jim
