When I can't buy what I want, I make it. I'm not afraid of climbing a ladder,
I'm afraid of gravity. Falling causes pain. All LED outside lights I could find aren't repairable. I would have to remove the entire LED light fixture. Cut the power, remove the wires, put up a new light, connect the power wires, all while standing on a ladder. NO THANKS!
I couldn't find a repairable LED outside light, so I took my old dusk to dawn light, removed the transformer, light socket base, used the dusk to dawn sensor, installed a light socket base for regular lights. Bought a cob light and that's been my pole barn light for years.
Last night my LED light turned into a camera. About once a second there was a bright strobe flash.
So, I climbed the ladder and installed a regular light bulb. Easy to diagnose, I need a new cob light.
Anyone want to save money? You can have my strobe light It will use less electricity because the light is on about 1/50th of a second.
Good thing Menards has a 15% off bag sale this week. A guy on a fixed income has to take advantage of saving a few pennies.
BTW, Making my LED light was many times cheaper than buying a new LED you can't fix. I can buy about 5 replacement bulbs for the price of a non-pairable LED.

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
