I had a 1971 Ford Torino I bought used in 1973. In 1974 I started burning E10 in it. I had to replace the fuel filter about 4 times in the first 2 months of E10 use. After that the gas tank was clean of the old residue from regular gas and never had a problem with that car. Since then I have never had a problem with any vehicle burning E10. I would hate to guess how vehicles and tractors between my father and I we used E10 Maybe 50? I even use E10 in small engines without problems except one. I had a pickup tube in a chainsaw collapse in a 10 year old saw 30 years ago.
I have a MTA the runs about 3 hours a year on E10. There are times I go 3 years without adding any new gas to it and it starts and runs fine every summer. When I bought it 30 years ago I had to clean the tank as it was all rust and gunk inside. No problems since.
When is that last time you saw the gas additive Heat sold or used? E10 will take the moister in tanks and put it in suspension and carry it out the exhaust.
Here in Iowa we have been using E10 since 1974 and you never hear of E10 causing any issues from mechanics.
My point is if you start with a clean tank it will stay clean with E10.

Today's Featured Article - When Push Comes to Shove - by Dave Patterson. When I was a “kid” (still am to a deree) about two I guess, my parents couldn’t find me one day. They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
