Hello Jenny welcome to YT! First you need to verify you have a diesel model. See section 112 in the link. You should have an injection pump on the left side of the engine slightly back from where the radiator fan is. If it is a diesel it looks as though someone has bent the berjevus out of your shut off rod. In the link view section 110. The rod should be connected to lever 13 on the injection pump as shown in section 113. The issue here is that we need to know how long the tractor has sat without running. Old or bad fuel in the injection pump that has sat a while can cause the pump to have immediate damage when you turn the engine over to start it. Essentially parts twist and break. However some brands of injection pumps are more prone to this issue then others. Hopefully I have assumed correctly that this is a Diesel engine model because a gas engine model could have a choke rod that is very similar to the rod you show with the knob on it. If none of what I posted seems to agree with what you see on your tractor the best thing for you to do would be to post a photo of each side of the engine so we are all on the same page and can verify if you have a diesel or a gas model. I am also going to offer to give you a link to a PDF operators manual for your tractor sent me an email from Classic View and I will get that for you.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
