Hello to all.
Just getting started here so posting in General Discussion, if I should be specific to John Deere, let me know. Just trying to get a hang of it in my first post. I own seven tractors, Massey's, Case, Ford, John Deere and some other one off's. In this post I am looking at any aficionados on the JD 435D. I have owned mine since 1979 or 1980. We had a family friend who bought it new in 1962, it sat at the dealer. Nobody interested in the model. In my two county area that was represented by a dealer who had three locations, they only sold three from 1959 to 1960. Nevertheless, I am looking to have dialog with anybody as to some of the nuances or particulars regarding everything in the fitment of this model. Mine is pretty complete and high in options, less the swept back front axle, 1000 RPM PTO and power steering, it has everything listed as an option plus some extras that were not mentioned as options, ie: twin sticks on the hydraulic quadrant, pre-cleaner with glass bowl and some small items. I am not restoring but would like to get corrected a few things that have gone missing over the years. Mine is a rolling relic but it needs a few things fixed, I like everthing OEM and this one has been altered in some small details in a few places. Will elaborate if any responses come back. Anybody that is interested or can spend some time with some dialog would be appreciated.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
