You need to know if it is 3 or 4 cyl. Earlier ones are 4 and later 3. Never did know why Ford did this confusing action. I was a Ford tractor parts manager at the time the 3 cyl Fords came out and that modle designation really gave me fits. The 4 cly. 4000 # will be just back of the starter on the clutch housing. Sometimes Battery acid erases it. don't know where it is on the 3 cyl May be on the left side of the engine.
