I have a ford 4000 and it was made in 67. I have the English version with the tall thin wheels. The older ones are 4 cyl. and the front wheels stick out in front of the tractor. I did not like then as much because of this feature. On the 3 cyl the serial number is on the bell housing which can be seen by looking down on the housing.

I have a question concerning my tractor and that is does any know the exact weight of my tractor. I am trying to get a trailer to haul the tractor and really need to know. I am considering whether I will need brakes or standard 3500 pound axles.
