It is my understanding this tractor began with Cletrac then evolved through B F Avery, sold by Mongomery Ward and was finally bought up by Minneapolis Moline. The Model and Serial Number you give looks like the Hercules engine info. Are these numbers on the engine? If the tractor Serial Number is in the same location as the B F Avery, look for a number crudely stamped on the TOP of the RIGHT SIDE FRAME RAIL near where it attaches to the REAR AXLE. If the serial number is simular to the B F Avery it would be a number like 18A199 for a model 'A'. In you case it may look like 18GG199. The frame rail rear mountings of many B F Averys have broken and during repair often someone has welded over the serial number. I am offering this information base only on the simularity of the Avery. I have no personal experience with the General Tractor.
