Yeah Florida is a ways from Wisconsin. As I said I do not really want to swamp my little dealer from up here with calls from throughout the whole country. They have sold Deutz tractor since the 70's and continue to sell them.
I have added a link to the Deutz-Fahr North America website. Going to their find a dealer page it looks like there are a couple dealers in Florida. Realistically they should be able to help you with documentation, as they can get parts for the old Deutz tractors. The trouble is many of the new Deutz-Fahr dealers never sold the old ones so they know nothing about them. My dealer told me they are constantly getting calls from the new Deutz dealers asking questions about working on the old ones.
Yes, keep the engine clean and keep leaks from top of engine (valve covers especially) under control. I am surprised there are not more in Florida since even dating back to the late 60's and even up to now their main distribution hub was headquartered in the Atlanta area. Being hotter in Florida should not be the deterrent; they can actually handle external temperature extremes better than water cooled engines, again if kept clean.
